1983 944 rear disc centering dia?

POR1983

New member
I just went to fit my new rear discs, unfortunately the centering diameter is too large (102.8mm), does anyone know where I can get discs for my 1983 944 with a smaller centering diameter (approx 90mm)?.

PS If anyone needs a radiator for an automatic 944 I have one.

Most of the regular motor factors should be able to supply them, any of the specialist the suppliers in the FAQ's etc

Thanks Mike, since posting I found a supplier on ebay that has the discs segregated by year (81 to 85), unlike the one that I bought from last week who has a search tool on their site, after entering my cars details it confirmed the discs as a match, however it states 81 to 89, as I found out earlier thats not correct.

check out Promax . I bought a set of 4x brake discs there last week , next day delivery and they were the best price on-line by at least £10.00 per disc

The centering dia of my original 1983 rear discs was 90mm, the centre dia of the replacement discs is 103mm, after trying a few suppliers and speaking to EBC's tech department I was assured that the 103 centre dia discs were ok as it is not essential to have the hub centering feature (though probably preferable), all the other dimensions are the same on the 103 centre disc as the 90mm centre disc so if you have an early model 944 103mm centres are ok.
