Porsche 944 Turbo Values

Wow if this sells for what they are asking I think we all need to go an update our insurance valuations, or someone is having a giraffe.


EDIT: Funny thing is there is another new listing for a partial project 944 Turbo for £4.5K, just puts it into perspective.
 
Unless it's one of the original Silberosa cars, with low owners and around 20k miles, I don't see many turbos being worth over £25k. I don't see an average 968 CS being worth more than £25k either.
 
Strangely no interior photos. The advert claims that engine in this turbo S has larger exhaust valves than the none S versions, which isn't true as far as I can remember.
 
Plenty of us know that many 88/89 cars had Turbo S parts fitted after Porsche went back on their original plan to limit production to around 1000 cars. Really that bit of paper with the options on it, matters most to traders, and the gullible willing to pay £1000's more for it today. Back in 2007 when I was looking for a 250 bhp Turbo, the S was usually selling for around £1k more, and that was only because it had better suspension, brakes and no sunroof.
 
Bit like the other lunatic that was asking £30k for an automatic 968 with low miles. Seen it has been reduced a couple of times since. I browse the classifieds often and there are several high priced 968s, 928s that have been for sale for months, possibly even a couple of years. Yet they still seem to persevere at the inflated pricing :ROFLMAO:

You could build a pretty sweet and much better than that stock car 944 Turbo for £50k.
 
Wishful thinking, even though they are great cars. Loved my ’44 Turbo, but can’t justify multiple Porsches like most of the newer intake members of PCGB now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Penguinracer was heading towards £50k with his special 944 turbo build. The 911 workshop not far from me, that was building it has closed. I wonder where the car is now.
 
18 years ago I bought a 944 turbo because I thought it was the best performance car for around £8k. I came close to buying a mint E36 M3 Evo too, the engine was better but the chassis wasn't. Today the 944 turbo is a great classic car, but there are fast awd hatchbacks I'd buy first.
 
Hagerty's is your best guide to current values. The lowest is over £11k while concours is over £34k..
