Unable to open rear boot OPC unable to to view until March 21st!
Porsche assist not interested as car driveable so no replacement car offered. Is this the best Porsche can offer on a car less than 12 months old?

Shocking behaviour from Porsche. Surely a 5 minute ‘look’ won’t upset their schedule that much. This is something I’d like PCGB to have more of a voice on. OK, we’re not part of them but at the end of the day we are a huge customer base and it’s our liking for the product that’s making them so busy. The queries over warranties differ dependant on where you are etc. Cmon folks, let’s stick together. Back to the issue….I guess remote or switch internally releases? Any noise to show actuator trying to release or is it deadly silent? Fuses don’t blow without reason, but if frosted up and tried to release? Sorry for guessing. Also Cayman has release cable for emergency….don’t know if yours has similar…check hand book.

Have you tried getting some one to put pressure on the boot lid as you try both the switches door sill and key fob ,agree not a satisfactory situation on any car under warranty and a wait of that length of time to be seen .

I'd have a look at the PCGB directory and see if they note any specialists in your area who could take a look

Even if it costs you a couple of quid, you'd have a faster solution.

I think the reason the OPC is so busy says more about the problems they are experiencing with the Taycan build quality.
Will look at the other suggestions re opening tomorrow

I think the length of time quoted to repair says more about the build quality of the Taycan and the problems Porsche are experiencing with the model in general
Attempted to open using remote and internal to no avail
Will look again tomorrow but Porsche response stinks and shows how much they value the customer in my opinion

Tell them about the dead pheasant you have on the boot from your new years shoot..and ask if they will properly valet the car for Easter..

Or leave it parked across their entrance with a big sign in the window..

I would ask to speak to the Dealer Principal or if not taking your call, email with your complaint. I doubt they are quoting two months for a service booking. Not what I would find acceptable, that's for sure.

I can assure you that some OPCs are quoting excessive timescales for any work. Doesn’t matter what model albeit a recall or similar repetitive problem will bunch up models, but I think it’s more to do with the volume of product sold. They’ve had a great few years and now the backup part is playing catch-up. Some dealers are awaiting huge expansion plans for servicing departments.

Why is it, every time the PC do anything on my car (T4SST) something goes wrong.
My boot is also not opening, recently went to them for water ingress (sealant applied that should have been done at the factory!) and PCM update (second one). Was to have AC heater done also, but PC weren't prepared to wait for part to arrive so booked in again on 12th Feb - now boot malfunction as well. Telling them now in case a part is needed.
I had expected one of our members to know how to get round this.

This forum has yet to grow to the kind of size where you’d defo get the spot on answer every time. Your problem is extensively discussed in the Taycanforum.com which even there has several possible reasons. Software updates after service tend to reset some features including door opening options? Rear wash wipe hose allowing water onto tailgate switching? Faulty tailgate switch requiring replacement? Again, being a huge customer base, Official Porsche feedback to help us will then allow us to help each other? We know they’re busy but so are the rest of us.
