Anyone know whose car this is?

Looks like the KLR wasn't connected to the pressure line, plus other faults. Wonder if they knew or just thought that 944 NA power was normal for a Turbo :ROFLMAO:

I'm lining up to purchase the wasted spark mount and AFM replacement section (if they aren't mega bucks).

I thought mounting the wasted spark on the inner wing would isolate it from the engines heat.

I watched this video and thought ' christ, give me old school anytime'...🙂 to be fair all this stuff is in my son's league, he's much more into tinkering than I. My own setup has proved to be ultra-reliable for years, no need to change, especially when my engine produces far more than the figures given in the video....😂

Have you had it dyno-ed now then?

As I have said numerous times she was making 368bhp on seperate dyno's before the last massive range of upgrades which transformed the performance further. No i haven't been back to a dyno since, i've had more important things to do like heal after majour heart surgery. Hell I've not even driven the car for 10 moths as I'm in and out of hospital where I still am right now. The car is easily over 400bhp, she's ultra reliable with stable idle, purrs like a kitten and roars like a lion. I started her a few weeks ago, instant fireup....no need to prove anything on a dyno, been there, got the T-shirt. I know my car which has now been developed for over 27 years🙂. Oh and its not just my opion, anyone who's driven her can feel how much power she has.🙂

Ok...I'm still on the hook.....good tuners will have a good idea of a cars power by its spec.. the spec of my car is far beyond most..🙃

Well Pete, I would respectfully suggest that perhaps your last engine was built for a sensible long time, rather than a good time. I think both of the cars that made 400 bhp all those years ago, were running big laggy Lindsey 75 turbos. I'd also reckon that your car, running a still pretty big Lindsey 61 turbo, would have pulled yards on both of those cars on the road. But for some perspective, I think my GR Yaris with it's diddy 1.6 3 cylinder engine, would eat up any big turbo 2.5 8v 944 on most roads. It's just 30 years of progress mate.

Not really, remember the engine was built by me and there was nothing sensible about it in as being conservative. After all she has full race pistons with tiny rings, i'm amazed how well they have lasted. You'll have to try her one day, she's very responsive, much more lively than a standard 2.5 and certainly more so than 3.0ltr big builds. I do wonder what my boys may add once I'm gone, cossie son has already told his mother that he'll buy the car after my demise. ...hopefully he won't break it like he does with his 500bhp cossie, that thing with it's straight cut box is insane.....🤣

In my defence, I'm sitting here in hospital awaiting my discharge letter so i can get out of here.....chatting on the forum helps kill time....🤣🤣

Agreed, when those big turbochargers get into their stride the cars fly. The GR Yaris is limited to under 150 mph too, so it would get passed on top speed in some places. For a long time I dismissed the Yaris because of the 3 cylinder engine, and I reckon it could have been a monster with a 2.0 4 cylinder.
