30th Boxster Anniversary

No 30th edition car, but the club have designed and arranged Window stickers, T Shirts, Hoodies .
So Boxster members keep your eyes peeled .

Hi.
Received the 30th windscreen sticker as above in Tracy's post.
Told if any member wants a Boxster sticker to send a SAE to club office.

There is half a rumour, but nothing firm, the last I heard there was something pencilled in for October [sounds like next year IMHO].

But as per the usual it would seem that Boxsters don't get anything special once again.

Sounds like the Club loves 911s, especially GT.

Does anyone know if the Boxster North Register group running any events to celebrate the Boxster 30th Anniversary?
Hi David, Tracy did have a Woty and a big event planned with a free venue was in talks with the above.
But was dismissed by the South and the board 🤔 last straw no point .
As the Boxster register sec Tracy did as many events as possible all over the UK.
You all know our thoughts on splitting just the Boxster Register in our view and many others it does not work.
If you take on a roll you should be expected to try to travel around as much as possible.
We feel sorry for the Boxster members that have missed out.
But what can one do.
Might be time for a different model or brand.
Onwards and upwards .

Hi Cliff

TIPEC are having a big Boxster Breakfast and drive in a few weeks time and quite a few R18 members are taking part in this.

There is also the big Porsche event at Leighton Hall, Carnforth, on 7th June a couple of miles from Porsche Centre South Lakes, who are part sponsoring it, called RENTAGG. It has been posted on the Lancashire Region page, and I asked Steve Johnson if PCGB woudl like a presence, but apparently he thought it was too close to the Silverstone event. You can register for this event on line, and say ypou are with PCGB. You may even be alel to have a Boxster display. It may be a bit too far North though.

Hi David
As Cliff has said when running the North I did have an event planned for the Carlisle area but was told by the board and Southern RS it was too far North. I was also in talks with a car tour company to do a 30th WOTY to Scotland but again was stopped from advertising it.
Hopefully we will not be forgotten if any celebrations go ahead.
Thanks for the heads up on the events that you’ve mentioned. Will see if we can attend. Cheers Tracy

I've sent an email to Nick to clarify what if anything is planned by the club to celebrate this important milestone in Porsche's history and will report back once I have an answer.
