GTechniq ceramic coating

I buying a new(er) car and have been offered GTechniq ceramic coating interior and exterior package as part of the part ex negotiations. The car has factory applied PPF covering 1/3 to 1/2 of the paintwork. My question is to anyone that has ceramic coating, preferably GTechniq, and preferably interior and exterior. How good is it, is it worth having it considering it already has partial PPF, any problems relating to ceramic coating and/or GTechniq?

I'd recommend GTechniq, as long as it's Crystal Serum Ultra, which has to be professionally applied (as opposed to the DIY products). I'd say there could be limited value on the PPF sections, as these normally already have a built-in hydrophobic coating (I think Halo tends to be used on PPF).
 
Gtechniq is a quality product and well worth-while provided it has been correctly applied. It provides surface protection and a lustre to the surfaces - even PPF (I believe a different coating is needed for this). It makes routine cleaning easier too.

But in order to produce best results, it follows the underlying paint surfaces needs to be in tiptop condition and many professionals recommend the vehicle undergoes full detailing and paint correction prior to applying a ceramic coating.

I had our local Solihull OPC apply it our 2021 Macan when we bought it S/H a year ago.
I think it's overpriced compared to have having an independant specialist apply it, but it definitely keeps the car cleaner & makes it easier to clean.
The big surprise to me was how good the effect on the windscreen is.
The screen stays much, much cleaner than my other vehicles & never leaves me worrying whether to turn the wipers on because the rubbish on the screen is going to scratch it. Minor rain seems to wash off most dirt quite quickly, leaving very little for the wipers / washers to deal with.
Unlike previous glass coatings I've seen previously, it causes no "smearing" & the wipers work quietly & very well
 
If you are R3 and from the north east you should pop into Just Car Care at Washington they will tell you exactly what you need to know about Gtechnic, Top bunch of lads and quality work, I get my car well sorted from there đź‘Ś
 
The coating is really only as good as the preparation work on the car before the coating is applied.
I had G techniq ceramic coating done by Solihull about six years ago during Covid as this was the only option then. The coating is good but I would get an indie to do this as the PC dealers seem to cut corners on the prep. Paid ÂŁ 600 then for it to be done, probably more now.
