Why Is There A Seal In My Car???

The oddest one for me yet. I've developed a random, intermittent squeak, that sounds a bit like a seal chirping! It can't be anything serious, just annoying!

It comes and goes but can't for the life of me put my finger on it. I was thinking suspension, spring, bush, top mount? It seemed to happen when going over slight bumps, not big bumps, then it came back last night a couple of times when not going over a bump. A rotational squeak? Never heard a wheel bearing or torque tube sound like that. There is no grumbling sounds at all.

The wheels are all tight and the PS fluid is full, other than that, not checked anything else or had it on a ramp.

If I was to guess I'd say it's coming from OS front area, but we know sounds can travel in mysterious ways!

Any guesses or anyone else had a seal in their car?

Cheers

Stuart

Thanks Ken. Yes, recent new hatch seals, soaked in fairy liquid to fit them into place. It was my first thought. The latches are a bit sticky just now and sometimes they don't ping back after opening which isn't great. I stopped a couple of times to open and close the hatch. Sometimes the noise went away, sometimes it didn't. It remains a mystery!
