I'll be taking the car ferry from Portsmouth to Santander in August. I know Biscay can get quite rough so I was wondering if there is a way of disabling the tilt sensor so the car alarm isn't going off constantly and running the battery down. Does anyone know? I can't find anything obvious in the owners manual ...

Strange suggestion! A quick double press of the remote disables the interior sensor and the tilt sensor. It is explained in the handbook but not in the section to do with the key - it's towards the back. After double-pressing, the exterior indicators respond with a long flash.leave it un locked

I don't think it's possible to leave it unlocked, it seems to automatically shut after about a minute if the keys are withdrawn from the ignition. I'll test the double press of the remote before I go.leave it un locked

It only re locks if you don't open a door within a short time of unlocking it.
