Cracked spoiler - bodywork recommendations

Hello
New here. I got a '18 718 Cayman S about 18 months ago. Looking for some advice as I haven't dealt with damage repairs before.

Someone bumped / backed into my car while parked, and somehow put pressure on the rear wing/spoiler to the point where the painted top panel cracked. I don't know exactly what happened, and they didn't leave a note or anything. There is no other visible damage. See image.

Do you have any recommendations for places to get this repaired? What should I expect this to cost? And would you claim on insurance?

I think you will find that most decent bodyshops will be able to weld the plastic and then carry out an effective repair. The spoiler will need to be removed.
 
The colourd part of the wing is held on with 6 T25 or T20 (can't remember which) screws and then just slides off. A new spoiler is ~£250 plus VAT and paint.

I'd buy one of those and have it painted, unless something else is broken.

Thank you - where would I find a replacement panel?
 
The only concern that I would have is to check whether the mountings have been bent. It is difficult to see from the photo but there could be a bit of mis-alignment. If so, it should be relatively easy to re-align it.

Any recommendations for shop to paint and install? The OPC’s recommended option quoted £1500+ (including part) which seems steep.

Where are you based? Someone local to you should be able to recommend a place, although the OPC's recommendation should do a good job and match the paint etc which would be my primary concern over price...
 
London’s a big place! Your Porsche dealer probably will have gone to one of the Porsche recommended bodyshops for a quote … someone like M&A Coachworks perhaps?

As Dave has said, try contacting your Regional Organiser for advice or repost on your appropriate regional section of the forum for advice.

You can always buy the part yourself to get the 10% Club discount and hand it over to your chosen repairer, although bear in mind that any bodywork repairs are expensive nowadays given hikes in parts, paint, labour and energy costs.

only you can calculate that, based on your excess on your policy and the likely cost of any increase in gross premium (ie regardless of whether you have protected NCB)

Remember that strictly speaking you should inform your insurer regardless of whether you claim or PAYG
