A question from a member prompted this month’s story: “I have a heavily modified modern car and I now want to sell it, do you have any suggestions on how to approach this?” Well, I have some experience.
I had a 981 PDK Cayman S that I used on track and felt the car could do with more power and handle better without being unsuitable for road use. This was when the first GT4s were in development and I wanted one of these. However, whilst recovering from my first shoulder operation, it became likely that the GT4 would be manual only, so I bought a 997.2 3.8L engine to provide an option.
