Members’ cars
Continuing our look back on our series on members’ cars, the first this month is Steve Gill’s ex-Des Sturdee modified 1989 Super Sport. It began life as a standard Super Sport model until 1996 when Bob Watson took it on as a major project, which included adding turbo-charging and suspension upgrades. 

The 3.2 factory engine performance was re-built using the original matching numbers block, but a considerable amount of 930 Turbo hardware was added, including a lightened and balanced crankshaft, con rods and oil pump.
