20 - 21 April 2024

Coasts and Castles Northumberland

Northumberland is known as a land of big adventures, breathtaking beauty and unlimited possibilities, and includes some of the best and most scenic open driving roads in England.

You are invited to join me for a North East Coast and Castles Adventure, and what better way to start proceedings than staying in a Medieval Castle.

Following a strong registration of interest, it is confirmed that this event will be held over the weekend of 20-21 April 2024.

The weekend will be preceded on the Friday with a ‘driving pleasure’ themed Pre-Event Anniversary Drive across the moorlands of the North Pennines and Northumberland, ending up at a special mystery venue for an Anniversary supper celebrating the 15th birthday of the Panamera.

The main event will commence on the Saturday and take us along the North East Coast, passing Dunstanburgh and Warkworth on our way to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, where we will spend some time and have lunch in their delightful Treehouse.  Our journey then takes us to the beautiful village of Bamburgh and tide permitting, Lindisfarne on Holy Island, returning via the roads of the beautiful Northumberland AONB.  A five Course Banquet Feast, Goblet of Wine, Goblet of Mead, and Entertainment by the Lords and Ladies of the Court awaits our return to where we can live like Lords and Ladies of a bygone age, and enjoy an evening of fun and general merriment. The weekend concludes on the Sunday with a morning visit to Beamish, Living Museum of the North, followed by a drive south over the North Pennines to Brough in the Eden Valley.
