Because of the Christmas break and publishing deadlines, I’m writing this just before Christmas – in the cold spell that will hopefully be a distant memory by the time you read this in the New Year.
What has been really interesting in this cold spell is the effect of the large MY23 update on my range in the cold. Last winter when it wasn’t nearly as cold, my Taycan Turbo would drop to around 180 miles on a full charge, this year it hasn’t dropped below 200 – that’s a good 10 to 15% improvement solely from software changes. It really does underscore what Porsche can achieve with their software when they get their act together!
