We are pleased to announce that this week, the number of 992 owners now listed on the 992 Register section has now reached 900. This is a massive increase during the past 12 months, as in March 2023 the number was just 450 so this has been an impressive 100% increase. Similarly, our 992 Register Facebook Group, which was created in Q1 2023, has also grown to 225 members.
However, we feel sure that there are many Porsche Club GB Members who are 992 owners that haven’t added themselves to the 992 database. Therefore, they will not be receiving the monthly 992 eNewsletters giving details to the events which have been arranged and other informative stories. If you haven’t then the details of ‘How to do it’ can be found within this news item.
Having this information available also gives the team the opportunity to analyse the estimated location of the owners onto a UK map, (see image) therefore enabling the team to take this information into account when discussing events, drives, meetings, and other gatherings. Please note that the ‘dots’ on the UK map are only very rough locations taking using the first 4 characters of the postcode area rather than actual addresses.
Our Calendar for 2024 has 6 events planned plus at least two more which are being finalised. But the year will soon pass and in the final quarter we will be considering our 2025 calendar, so this information will be reviewed again at that time.
Whilst we have been pleased we have at least one event each month throughout the March to September period, we are aware that they are perhaps Midland and South centric, not surprising when the team are based in those areas, so it would be beneficial if at least two 992 owners, currently living in the north of the UK would be able to assist with just one event each to take place in the north which can be added to the 2025 calendar. We believe that it would be good to utilise a couple of interested owners in that way for specific events rather than expecting them to be part of the general 992 register organisation.
