992 Register Visit to Morgan Motors

Fourteen 992 Register members met for a welcome coffee at Morgan Motors, Malvern on a Sunny and bright Saturday morning for their Visit and tour of the Morgan Facility, the historic home of the Morgan Motor Company for over 100 years.
The tour explained the mix of rare craft skills and latest modern technology that goes into each Morgan sports car. Our experienced and knowledgeable tour guide ‘Ross’ guided us through every workshop – each one with its own sights, smells and sounds and even though full production was not taking place on the Saturday morning, it did give us the opportunity to get close to the cars in their variety of build conditions and feel the history of the site and understand the latest models which are an increasingly advancing technological product, yet still continuing to reflect its past history very strongly.
After another coffee, there was a short drive through Malvern alongside the hills with picturesque views in the clear sunshine to the Malvern Hills Hotel, where lunch was served. Many thanks to the 992 owners for attending for engaging with each other during the tour and at lunchtime which created a very friendly group. Thanks also to the Morgan Motor team and the staff at Malvern Hills for enabling this successful event to take place.
Overall, it was a great day and wonderful to have chance to discuss all things ‘992’.
