Now the darker months are with us, we are looking towards Christmas and to meeting 992 owners at ‘A Porsche Christmas ‘at the Warwickshire Event Centre on Sunday 3 December. I hope to see you there and we can take the opportunity to introduce ourselves and discuss future 992 Register events.
Winter tyres
On the topic of the winter months, how many 992 owners swap to winter wheels and tyres during this time of the year? It is stated that winter tyres are designed to work well at temperatures below 7ºC and, if there's snow or ice, they are far superior to normal tyres. Perhaps if you drive a lot or live in higher altitude areas that get more snow, they're even more worthwhile. Interesting to hear of any owner experiences with them. Please email us.
Porsche 992 SC
The 911 is one of the most popular models
With a significant increase of 27%, the Porsche 992 continues to enjoy great popularity among Porsche customers. In the first three quarters of the year, a total of 38,789 units of the latest version of the 911 were delivered. Although only a small number of the Limited Edition 992 SC models are included in this total, the overall figures are a great reflection of the success of the 911 in their 60th celebratory year.
Porsche Carrera Cup GB
Team Parker Racing took its third Porsche Carrera Cup GB title of the season.
Porsche 992 Adam Smalley
A fantastic race drive at the Brands Hatch final weekend by Harry Foster earned him the Rookie Championship, which joined Adam Smalley’s Drivers’ title of 2023 Carrera Cup Champion and Justin Sherwood’s success in Am. Having taken the inaugural crown with Barry Horne in 2003, that’s an incredible 28 championship honours in the series over 21 seasons of racing.
Porsche 992 Harry Foster
It capped a brilliant season in the Carrera Cup for Team Parker Racing, with the successes in claiming Pro, Am, and Rookie championship titles and scoring four overall victories, 15 overall podiums, five Pro-Am wins and 12 Am wins across 2023.
The 992 Register hope to visit the workshops of Team Parker Racing during 2024 to view and hear about their successful Porsche 911 motorsport campaigns.

The 992 Register membership numbers are now at 705 but please ensure your PCGB profiles include ‘992’ to make sure you receive regular emails and access to the PCGB 992 news.
The Register team are open to new ideas for events from all members, and we welcome anyone who feels they may be able to assist with the arrangements for an interesting ‘992 Register’ event to email us or post your suggestions on the PCGB Forum.
