Suspension work
Last month I told the story of the front suspension on my 1976 Sporto. Now the work is complete I can share some images that show the wear on the components. The bolts are worthy of particular attention; where they sat within the fitting, the elements got to work and the ‘wasting’ is clear to see. After 45 years the components had exceeded their design specification but continued to function with little sign of wear when driving; a tribute to Porsche build on the early cars.
