Visit to the Internal Fire Museum of Power Tanygroes 14th May 2016

On a sunny Saturday morning 15 members and their family met at Coth Bridge Hotel Pontargothi and drove to Cardigan Bay where we visited the Internal Museum of Power.

When we arrived, we were greeted with our own Porsche club programme.

The museum covers over 80 working engines with a total of 180 on site, spread over an area of 5 halls. The museum has the oldest working Diesel engine in the UK.

After a 2 hour visit of the museum, we attended a pre arranged lunch at the Gwbert Hotel Cardigan.

R14 members poised between two large Diesel engines.

As a diversion from engines, the museum also has its own working Marine Radio station, together with old manual operated telephone exchange.

On the return journey we stopped at Aberaeron and sampled the famous  honey icecream, before commencing on our homeward journey via  Llangadog and the black mountains.
