A visit has been arranged to Shobdon Airfield, Leominster HRE 9NR. Our host will be Geraint Thomas formely parts manager at Porsche Cardiff who is now a flying instuctor at this airfield.
He has sent me a brief hostory of the airfieldairfield along with a price list for trial flights and a map of where we can cover in the time frame of the trial flights.

He can accommodate a number of people who might be interested, but might have to split into 2 groups if it is a large number.
We would start with an organised talk about the history of the airfield (it used to be a military glider training site) along with a general aviation presentation and a tour of the airfield, control tower and the aircraft as well as the trial flights if anyone wants to go.
There would be no charge for the tour etc but the trial flights would be as per attached list.
They have a French themed fly in over the weekend so we should have some interesting aircraft on site.
There is a cafe on site that serves the ubiquitous all day breakfast amongst other meals.
