Coffee and Cakes at the County Classic Car Museum Taunton.
The first of what will be a series of Coffee and Cakes event was arranged in March. The idea is to find an interesting venue in various parts of the R15 Region, preceded by a short optional scenic drive with a social get together over coffee and cake. The venues will aim to appeal to all tastes,as it is realised that probably close to 50% of our participants only have a limited interest in motoring related events and most would say they are in many cases the decision makers!
This months event was however at the recently opened County Motor Museum in Taunton, preceded by a scenic drive from Exeter. We had a good response to the initial event with 20 cars took part. The museum has approximately 75 immaculate cars and a similar number of motor cycles presented in a pristine exhibition. All who went agreed it is a very good museum and to be recommended if you have not visited. It must be said that the cake and coffee is also exceptional!
