Cotswolds WOTY

Two drive to the Cotswolds

Our much postponed 2 day scenic drive to the Cotswold was finally completed over the weekend of the 25th/26th September.  41 members in 21 cars started out from Exeter and wound their way on a scenic route through Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire to overnight in Cheltenham, taking in Cheddar Gorge and many other delightful Cotswold villages en route.

There was a party atmosphere at the evening meal as members old and new finally had the chance to have a good old get-together.  The sort of friendship and cameraderie that the Club is made for.

We had our own, elevated area in the Brewhouse and Kitchen and the staff looked after us wonderfully well and, all things considered, coped admirably with the pre-order!

We set off on day 2 for a shorter drive back with an extended stop in beautiful Bradford on Avon for lunch and coffee.

With the beautiful warm weather over the weather, many lingered longer than planned but a good number made it around the whole route to finish at the Hankridge Arms in Taunton.  Despite a weekend of potential fuel shortage and range anxiety, we had a fantastic time.  Thoughts now turn to next year's WOTY!
