Dartmouth Royal Naval College held an open day on Saturday 27 July. The Porsche Club was asked if they could supply cars to be part of a small classic car display.
Five members offered their time and cars for the day. Meeting up just before the arrival time, the five Porsches drove into the College in convoy allowing us to be parked next to one another in the display area. Along with us were six Ferraris and an assortment of mainly British classic cars. Over 5000 people ventured up the hill to the College building where Royal Navy displays went on throughout the day.
Classic car parking was a short walk from the main events' area, but we did see a stream of people throughout the day. The sun shone again all day, so those with convertibles made the most of the warm dry weather on the drive to and from Dartmouth.
