On the same day as the second Naval College tour in Dartmouth over 30 members paid a visit to Pendennis Castle, Falmouth. Three cars departed Exeter Services and the number swelled en route to 14 cars at the Castle Car Park!
Built along, with St Mawes Castle, to protect to important naval dockyard by Henry V111 in the late 1500s. It is an extensive site with excellent exhibitions and well worth a visit if you are down in SW Cornwall.
