Gilks’ Garage Café
Spring ended with a sunny drive from Barrow Wake Birdlip, a meeting point that looks out over beautiful Gloucestershire hills. The drive proceeded through the Cotswolds to Gilks’ Garage Café in Kineton, a business that has been run by the same family since 1904, first as a blacksmith then as a garage and now as a themed café diner. After lunch, the group headed back towards Cirencester on the Roman Fosseway road to end the day at the Stump Pub for a well-earned beverage and pizza for a certain hungry youngster.
