2014 marked the return of Porsche to LMP1 and for some of R20 members a first trip to the event. It left both with unfinished business!!
As has been the norm in previous years, we will be coordinating a London Region (R20) outing to Le Mans 2015 for the Weekend of 13th & 14th June.
Our group will travel down in convoy early on the preceding Thursday morning (11th June) and back on the following Monday (15th), this way they will avoid the traffic and be able to take advantage of the pit walk and qualifying. If you are not able to commit to this duration you will able to join the group on arrival at the camp site.
We arrange for our pitches to be adjacent to each other enabling us to create our own R20 social centre (Where we sit, eat and drink our selves silly) by circling the centre with our vehicles and tents – our customary BBQ is not to be missed!
Lycian events have provided excellent facilities (private loo and hot showers, catering and plasma screen’s to watch any concurrent sporting events) over the last few years and we intend to use them again.
For 2015 the site will be even bigger, what more camper vans, has everyone gone soft ? Not quite, everyone just wants to join the best run camp site at Le Mans.
Ed & I have already committed to this, yes we enjoyed the camping experience as did everyone else our group.
