September news

This month's news from your Kent Region

We hope all our members, both old and new are keeping well and enjoying their Porsches.

Visit to JD Classics
On 22 July we were fortunate to visit JD Classics, a Woodham Mortimer Company, who opened their doors to allow our members access to all areas of their impressive 65,000sq.ft. workshop facilities. We were joined by other customers and enthusiasts who were treated to an excellent display of cars for sale, along with an array of cars being restored, or undergoing race preparation.

Members had an opportunity to speak with the employees and gain an insight into their specific skills, or areas of expertise. The Cancer Research UK raffle was won by Steve Walker who was treated to a drive in the Duncan Hamilton Competition Roadster XK120.

We were also able to witness the skills of Aran Artist who has been drawing and painting images of cars and motorbikes since he was four years old. He is now just nine and has an impressive portfolio of work. Some of you would have seen him at The Festival of Speed, and he hopes to be at the Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche.

Many thanks to David Arthur of JD Classics for arranging the visit.

Porsche Centre South London
On 23 July we had around 65 members join us for breakfast at South London Porsche where the workshop and showroom were open together. The Porsche Pros and workshop technicians were on hand to take questions and discuss the latest technology being incorporated into the Porsche models. There was also an interactive installation from Porsche celebrating 75 Years of Porsche. It was great to see new members join us for the morning. Many thanks to Chris Butler, Centre Principal, for hosting, and to Hannah Keeley for organising the event and thanks also to all the South London team who gave up their Sunday morning to meet our members.

New members
In recent months we have had several new members join the Region - welcome! We would like to meet you in person and if you can make it along to one of our Club nights that would be helpful. The evenings are relaxed events where you can tell us what you are interested in and what you would like to be involved with. Please feel free to just ask us any questions and meet like-minded enthusiasts. Details of our Club nights can be found on the HERE. We look forward to meeting you soon.

FUTURE EVENTS

The R25 events page has details of all forthcoming events planned for the rest of 2023.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our events, or on the road!
