As you know the Queensferry Crossing will open to traffic on Wednesday, 30 August and close thereafter on Friday 1 September. It will be officially opened by the Queen on Monday 4 September, remain closed for some days then again open to all traffic later in the week.
I have organised a short run on the first official Sunday of the bridge open to traffic, Sunday 10 September.
We will leave from South Queensferry, drive North over the bridge to The Queensferry Hotel (Double Tree by Hilton) in North Queensferry. We will then have breakfast at the hotel, take in the spectacular views of the Queensferry Crossing and Forth Road Bridge then drive South back across the Queensferry Crossing.
The hotel has agreed to provide us with a full breakfast for £12.95pp and this will be served specifically for our group and privately at the time of 11am. I am also in the process of negotiating a section of the car park that affords fantastic views over the bridge, be cordoned off for our cars to park.
