Sunday Run to Blairgowrie

Sunday's Run to Blairgowrie and returning via Glenshee....

The March Sunday Run was over a route suggested by Robin & Cherry Provan, and took in some great roads giving fantastic views.

Most of the party assembled at the Inchmarlo Golf Club in Banchory for coffee & bacon rolls. First-timers Blair and Andrew & Amy joined us and were made welcome.

From here we headed via Banchory to the Cairn o’ Mount, with most folk stopping to admire the view (From the layby just short of the viewpoint, for some reason…) before continuing via Fettercairn to the A90 for a quick blast down to Forfar.

Pausing to gather up George & Caitlin, we continued via Coupar Angus to Blairgowrie and our luch stop at the Dalmore Inn on Perth Road. Very pleasant atmosphere, food and service – an enjoyable lunch and a chance to chat.

Our after lunch drive took us up over the pass of Glenshee, where there was little evident snow, to Braemar, where some of the party stopped for further refreshments at “The Bothy” before continuing home.

Paul & Loraine took some great pictures, a couple of which are featured here - and as usual you can see more on Paul's website: http://www.barlow.org.uk/r2-glenshee-run-march-2017.html
