Scotland North

Region 2 - Scotland North is the Club’s largest Region by geographical area, stretching from Perth to the Shetlands, and Aberdeen to the Outer Hebrides. The Region has large clusters of members in Tayside, Aberdeenshire, and Inverness, but also has members across the whole of the North of Scotland including the islands.
 
R2 is home to some of the most spectacular scenery and driving roads in the UK, including the Snow Roads route through the Cairngorms and the now legendary North Coast 500. The Region makes good use of all the fantastic country available to us and puts on many events throughout the year.
 As part of the regular monthly calendar, we host three social evenings each month – one in the Aberdeenshire area, one in Inverness and one in Tayside.  Additionally we have on average two events a month which could be a drive and breakfast or a visit to an interesting motoring related venue, a car show or a social meeting and meal.
We also host several special events throughout the year, including attending a selection of the best car shows across Scotland. These special events include a Summer Solstice late night run is usually on the Friday evening closest to the longest day of the year, and overnight adventures to places like Assynt, Cape Wrath and the Isles.
 
The highlight of the R2 calendar is our annual Weekend-of-the-Year, held each year in October on the weekend the clocks go back. Known as the ‘Gain-an-Hour Weekend’ this four-day event is the best adventure for fans of Porsche. Typically, we take over sole occupancy of a hotel in a spectacular area, with members doing recommended drives in groups or solo. You meet Porsches out on the road everywhere you stop! On the last night we gather for a climactic party that lasts into the wee hours – that’s where the gained hour comes in handy!
 
Region 2 is very diverse with members of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. All members will be made very welcome regardless of who they are or which Porsche they drive.
