On August 23rd fifteen (and a half) R2 members gathered for lunch at Hornblower's fish & chip restaurant in Gourdon for lunch. We were lucky to have a fine day and the view coming down into Gourdon with the surf running white over the sea after the earlier stormy weather was grand.
Some arrivals were delayed by an unfortunate road accident on the A92 near Caterline. Despite the sad state of the motorbike involved and the signpost it was tangled up in, happily the rider got away with just a few broken bones.
Hornblower's provided a very good lunch, everyone, including Stuart & Paula Rennie's daughter Amelia seemed to enjoy themselves.
After lunch, most of the party continued south in the sunshine through Montrose & Arbroath to Broughty Ferry where we were welcomed at Visocchi's Gelateria for ice cream. Knickerbocker glories, hot fudge sundaes etc. were enjoyed to finish off the run.
