Spring has arrived in R2 and with it, our monthly club run on Sunday 26th of March. It's the weekends that the clocks change back to BST (That stands for "British Shorts Time" - make note of the dress code!) and therefore technically the "Lose an Hour" weekend, a fine accompanyment to our Gain an Hour weekend from October.
This month, in keeping with the season, we'll be enjoying some of rural Aberdeenshire's best roads before stopping in at Leith Hall for refreshements, cake, and a chance to explore the gardens in spring.
The run will begin at Westhill Starbucks from 09:00am, for a 09:30am departure. We will head for Echt, before taking a right past Cargievar Castle, Bridgeton and then Bridge of Alford. Keeping left, we'll follow the A944 before joining the A97 until it's time to turn off for our destination at Leith Hall.

Once we arrive at Leith Hall around 10:45am, there will be the opportunity to park the cars up on the gravel frontage for a group photo, before we head inside for tea, coffee and cakes. The fixed price of £12.50 per person also includes your entry to the gardens, if you'd like to stay and have a walk in the fresh air and admire the gardens before heading home.
Being a morning run, it won't take up your whole day and you can stop somewhere nice for lunch on the way home if you wish.
