Start your New Year off right, by burning off some of those Christmas Calories with our annual walk, on Sunday the 8th of January from 11:00am.
This year we are heading to the picturesque villiage of Glamis in Angus, where we will be walking along the river that runs through the Glamis Castle Estate. Glamis Castle is home to the Earl of Strathmore and the Bowes Lyon family, and the birthplace of the Queen Mother. The Castle grounds are beautiful with ancient deciduous woodland on our short loop around the Glamis Burn, a tributory of Dean Water.
The meeting point is the main public carpark in the centre of the villiage.

Our walking loop is 1.8 miles long and will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and is on well established paths but with some inclines. Conditions underfoot can be muddy depending on rainfall so we strongly advise bringing sturdy footwear and a change of shoes for getting back into the car.
Afterwards there will be a tea/coffee stop, exact location T.B.D. (It may be a short drive depending on availability of our preferred stop in the village itself)
