R2 Peterhead Prison Break-In

For February, we'll be heading to the infamous Peterhead Prison Museum, sometimes referred to as the Alcatraz of the North. Built to house the most hardened of criminals, the prison has a colourful history, not least a prison riot so dangerous that the SAS had to be called in to end it.

The Prison is now a museum is a facinating place to visit, taking you on a journey through the enfocement of justice in Scotland for over 100 years.

Meeting at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel Carpark from 1030 for an 1100 sharp departure, we will head north to the Peterhead Prison Museum.

For our visit, we will benefit from a guided tour starting at 1200. We will also be allowed to drive the cars right in to the central courtyard of the prison to park them up on display while we do the tour.

With good behaviour, we should be out by 1400. No lunch arrangements have been made, leaving you free to do whatever you wish. There is an onsite Cafe at the museum with a comprehensive lunch menu.

Booking is a two step process, outlined below:

STEP ONE: Book online with Porsche Club using the button at the bottom of this page.
This lets us plan the numbers for the tour and the drive.

STEP TWO: Purchase museum tickets online, saving you £1pp on entry, and also cutting down on the queue to get in.

Ensure that you book your ticket for Saturday the 19th of February.
