Summer Solstice Run

The few weeks around the Summer Solstice in Scotland is a magical time - making up for all the dark winter nights, we are lucky to have the longest days in the mainland UK, with traditionally good weather into the bargain.

To celebrate the longest day, on Friday the 21st of June R2 are having a late night run to Braemar. We'll stop for fish and chips at the Hungry Highlander who are opening late specially for us, before heading a couple of miles down the road towards Mar Lodge and parking up at the viewpoint to eat our supper and get some photos.

*Update* We have been invited down to Mar Lodge itself for some photographs in front of the grand entrance at sunset.

We'll also be writing an article for the club magazine, Porsche Post, so bring your camera and send in your best shots as we'll be needing them for the article.

For those heading across from the North:
we'll be meeting at the Stonehaven Open Pool Carpark at 1915 to leave at 1930 - full route here

For those coming up from the South:
We'll be meeting the South Tay Bridge Carpark at 1915 to leave at 1930 - full route here
