February Sunday Run - Moray Coast

24 February 2019

Join us as we dust away the cobwebs of winter and journey to the Moray coast. Meeting at Lochter Activity Centre at 10am, we should have enough time to enjoy the coffee shop before setting off for Portknockie at 10.30 sharp. The route we have planned makes use of the A947 and the A98 through Fyvie, Turriff and Cullen before reaching Portknockie and the magnificent Bow Fiddle Rock.

Bow Fiddle Rock is a natural sea arch composed of Quartizite, a metamorphic rock which was orginially quartz sandstone. It dates from the Neoproterozoic Era, 1000 to 541 million years ago.

Once we have visited Portknockie we will head back to the Cullen Bay Hotel for lunch. As well as sourcing only local ingredients, Cullen Bay Hotel are winners of the Cullen Skink Championships in 2014 and 2015.

PLEASE EMAIL US YOUR MENU CHOICES PRIOR TO THE EVENT

From here, we have left the return leg of the journey free, as we're sure people will go their separate ways home.
