Following on from the success of the pervious years, we have once again booked the Strathmore Arms to host our Christmas lunch on Saturday 1st December. We will meet at Glamis Castle for coffee and pictures at 11am. Anyone who has last minute Christmas shopping to do can always browse the castles gift shop for a truly Scottish gift.
Due to last minute cancelations, we will not be visiting Ogilvy's Vodka Distillery. We are disappointed that they were unable to host us this year but we look forward to arranging a visit in 2019!
For those of you lucky enough to have a drink at this event you can still taste this local delicacy at the Strathmore Arms bar.
Due to this cancellation, the kind folk at Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club have kindly invited us back to their premises. There have been some big changes to the clubhouse, so there should be lots more to see. As always, the SVVC runs on donations and money they raise allows them to organise some great events throughout Angus, including the Glamis Transport Extravaganza, one of the biggest car shows in Scotland. As such, we would invite members to leave a small donation to show our gratitude and support to the club.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
11am - meet for teas/coffees at Glamis Castle
11.45am - head to SVVC (3 minute drive)
1pm - Back to Strathmore Arms for lunch
3pm approx - event ends, anyone wishing to stay around for Christmas Cake and a Social Gathering are invited back to George & Caitlin's place on the Logie Estate, 3 miles north of Glamis.

Christmas Lunch - 3 courses £29.00pp, or dishes priced individually. - Drinks excluded.
Rooms may be available at the Strathmore Arms, or at one of the hotels in nearby Forfar and Kirriemuir.
