Meet up for coffee at Glamis and take a drive to lunch in Blairgowrie... George Mayson has organised this run, here's his plan for the day... (Booking details below)
- Meet at Glamis Castle coffee shop from 10.30am before setting off.
- 11:30am sharp: Set off - head north through Kirriemuir and on to Bridgend of Lintrathen.
- 12:00am Arrive at the Backwater Reservoir and take the road across the huge dam (Photo Op!!). Can head on to the viewpoint at the head of the reservoir if time allows.
- Head back down the hill and rejoin B951 till we reach the junction with the A93 (Old military road from Braemar)
- Join southbound and follow road to Blairgowrie.
- Navigate to Dalmore Inn towards the south of the town.
Lunch booked at the Dalmore for 1:30pm - we eat, drink and generally enjoy a fine hostelry.
People then make their own way home - either back from Blairgowrie along the fast and straight A94 to the A90(M) and back north to Aberdeen
OR
Over the A93 to Braemar and on through Royal Deeside back to Aberdeen
OR
South and home to anyone coming up from Dundee or R1
