Members and their guests are invited to join the visit to RAF Museum, Cosford TF11 8UP on Sunday 29 September. The museum houses a large number of very significant exhibits and is a popular attraction. Further details can be found on their website.
The museum is free to enter but there is a car park charge of £4, which drivers will need to pay. Parking for Club vehicles has been allocated between hangars two and three, a facility which can take up to 50 cars.
The site has a cafe where visitors will be able to buy refreshments. We are also planning to take an hour long guided tour of the museum for groups of 15 people, the cost of which will be met by the Club. Arrangements for these tours will be made on the day.
The meeting place will be 8.30-9am at the Cholmondeley Arms, SY14 8HN, on the A49 between Tarporley and Whitchurch. We are hoping to arrange tea, coffee and bacon butties at the meeting point but we are awaiting confirmation from the landlord.
