North West

1,075 Porsche Club GB members

The North West Region (R5) is centred in South Manchester and is organised by the R5 Committee, which has been operating since it was formed in April 2012, with the main objective of running the Region for the benefit of its Members. Since its formation, the Committee has met on a monthly basis and manages a full programme of activities consisting of: Major Events; Sunday Outings throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn periods; and Club Nights – as well as participating in adjacent R6 and R18 activities.

Our premier Regional event has become the Gold Cup at Oulton Park in August. We have also forged strong links with Porsche Centre Wilmslow who host our regular Club Night in November.

Communications with Members are key – via Porsche Post, and monthly newsletters and bulletins – to give the most up-to-date information. In doing so, two-way exchanges are encouraged, opinions of the Members are canvassed, and persistent work is carried out to improve and maintain the Region’s email addresses within the central Membership database.

We aim to keep members in the Region updated through our monthly email newsletter as well as provide regular updates on our forum pages.

Club Night by Zoom

Our Festive club night of the year with quiz

It is with great regret to inform you that, in the light of the Government advice given, although it isn’t enforceable, my perspective is that, for the greater and longer term benefit of the country, as a Club we should be suspending all our activities for three months.  So, with the primary consideration of the health and safety of all our Members, the decision has been taken to suspend all the planned Porsche Club Region 5 activities for the three months of April, May and June.
Best regards, Allan.
