R5 will be holding its annual Go Karting night on Wednesday 12th September 2018, in place of the usual club night. This year we are returning to the exciting outdoor circuit at 3 Sisters near Wigan. Since our last visit in 2016 they have re-tarmacked the whole circuit and also invested in new karts, all of which operate to a set standard.
The event is their Individual Sprint Race, which is the same format as we have had there before where all drivers get the following:
- 5 min warm up
- 2 x 8 min heat races
- 10 min final
You will need to arrive by 6pm for briefings with a start at 6.30pm, enabling us to finish around when it goes dark; although they do have good floodlights now too.
The cost for this is £55 per person. There is a limited number of drivers for this event so if you wish to attend please can you let Dave Trafford know as soon as possible by emailing him at david.trafford1@ntlworld.com. Dave will then be able to provide details of how to pay for your place(s).
Please note Drivers must be a minimum height of 5ft and a maximum weight of 18st.
