Summer Sunday run to the Lake District

1.   Meet at Tebay Services on M6 Northbound for breakfast 8.00am onwards. There will be a dedicated parking area;

2.   Leave by 10.00am for a drive split into three legs (with the third leg optional);

3.   First Leg (40 miles, one hour plus):- Via A6, A66 and A591 to Castle Inn at Kilnhill, situated at the head of Bassenthwaite Lake. Coffee and pastries £5.95 each, payable on the day;

4.   Second Leg (30 miles, one hour plus):- Via Whinlatter and Honister passes to Ladore Falls Hotel in Borrowdale. Lunch at 1.00pm, £21 including gratuity for three courses. Full menu available, with no pre-ordering required, but cost payable to the organiser in advance. Dedicated parking available in front of hotel for first 10 cars, remainder in private hotel car park opposite;

5.   A number of after lunch options are available: 

      Trip on the lake- 50 minutes round trip from hotel jetty £8.95;  Afternoon in Keswick, a few miles north;                                                      Stay at hotel for the night, discounted rates available;

6.   or Third Leg (53 miles, one and a half hours):- Drive to Beetham, close to junction 35 on M6. Tea and stickies at Beetham Nursery tea room. Disband and head for home.
