For the fourth time in two years R7 headed up to Dumfries and Galloway to stay at the quirky but lovely Friars Carse Hotel, principally to enjoy the spectacular and very entertaining Borders roads.

Although the heat wave of last year didn’t repeat, the weather was kind and everyone enjoyed the empty, fabulous roads in dry conditions. Event organiser Graham Lovis is convinced that this area has the best driving roads in the UK with fabulous views of purple heather clad hills and breath-taking scenery.
