August Bank Holiday weekend saw a large group of R3 head to Scotland for this years' WOTY. We met up at Ponteland and headed North, stopping off in Jedburgh, before continuing to The Kelpies where we had pre-arranged parking. After a private tour we moved on to the Falkirk Wheel then on to our hotel to check in. We had fully booked out Broomhall Castle, which meant that we had the Castle all to ourselves for the weekend, except for the staff, who were extremely attentive and kept us going with some fantastic food throughout.
Next we had a coach booked to take us to Deanston Distillery. Sunday was spent driving around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs; some beautiful driving roads. We checked out of the castle on Monday morning and set off for Knockhill Circuit where we had organised some laps of the track, then it was on to the National Museum of Flight at East Fortune before everyone said their goodbyes and made their own way home.
