With the end of 2023 in sight, now is the time to look back at the last 12 months. Despite counting the miles travelled, the petrol used and the cups of coffee drunk statistics don’t always reveal the full picture of Region life. New friendships were formed, others strengthened and the camaraderie a Club like ours holds dear, emboldened. Members enjoyed more of the Emerald Isle during the weekend away (perhaps Harry Metcalfe was inspired to visit Ireland from reading R27’s increasingly popular social media feeds). The romance of steam provided alternative motive power during a heritage railway visit and the Antrim Plateau and coast gave us glorious views and corners aplenty. That being part of the last 12 months, 2024 will be a corker!
