Protechtiv
On 19 August around 30 R11 members drove out to Protechtiv in Harlow on a bright Saturday morning for a tour of their state-of-the-art facility. Protechtiv specialises in the application of Paint Protection Film (PPF) and ceramic coatings that enhance and protect your pride and joy.
The tour started after entering through a light tunnel that is used to highlight any paint imperfections on the car before any work gets underway. We then watched how the cars go through a deep decontamination wash before further checks.
Terry Skues’ 996 4S was truly pampered at Protechtiv
Protechtiv can carry out paint correction as well as PPF. One of our cars, owned by Justin, was cleaned in the bay, and looked amazing once finished. The knowledge shared with us about how to perform certain things when cleaning was excellent.
The level of work that is performed by Protechiv to make sure they have no dust in the areas and the exact temperatures in each bay for PPF was exceptional.
Terry Skues and his 996 4S was lucky enough to be the event car, which was washed, polished, and used as an example on the day.
Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche
On 3 September, the popular Festival of Porsche returned to Brands Hatch with a full day’s on and off-track entertainment planned and what a day it was. We were blessed with wonderful weather and a great selection of cars on display and on track.

This year’s event celebrated the 75th anniversary of Porsche Cars, and the 60th anniversary of the 911, with racing, car displays and other special content. On-track action showcased the full motorsport portfolio from Porsche Club - headlined by the Porsche Club GB Championship, plus the Boxster Cup, Porsche Open Cup, and the Porsche Club Speed Championship. There was good attendance from R11 members, and all enjoyed the use of the PCGB marquee area, as it had some exceptional cars on display plus somewhere to relax and rest tired feet.

Instagram expert wanted
We are considering setting up an R11 Instagram page and are on the lookout for someone to manage this account on our behalf. Ideally this needs to be a Club member and someone who can attend our events to take photos and to share posts and reels. Please email r11@porscheclubgb.com if you are interested in taking on this voluntary role or if you know someone who may be interested, please pass this message on.
