A stuck record here – another rainy Club night in December – that’s three on the bounce. We had a lovely Christmas dinner followed by thank yous and presentations. A terrific achievement from Stephen Jory who was awarded the Kerry Trophy for winning his class in the Club Sport and Hill Climb Championships (nearly winning the overall title) and to Tammie Howard who was voted Member of the Year. Tammie really embodies the spirit of Porsche.

The Club also raised a combined total of £690 for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance with a raffle where the star prize was a full interior and exterior detail and ceramic coat courtesy of Barnfind Detailing in Ilkeston. Nick Berridge won this and we were all extremely jealous. Nick is a well-deserved winner nonetheless.

At Club night on 5 February we will be joined by Paul Musgrove from PCGB and Michael Mason from Porsche Centre Nottingham for a Q&A session on the requirements of members for the Club in the future. I’ll report back on the outcome of the meeting next month.

As you can see from the list of dates for events coming up we have a really packed schedule for 2024, with more events on the back burner being reviewed (to see if we can fit them in!). We’re grateful to members of the R8 team who are stepping up to help co-ordinate these events - thank you so much.
 
Club nights
A Monday evening get-together to discuss Club matters at The Coopers Arms, Weston-on-Trent, Derby DE72 2BJ. The next three are 5 February (PCGB and Porsche Centre Nottingham Q&A), 4 March (lovely Laura’s quiz) and 1 April (Abi Whitt from Great Northern Classics).
