The East Midlands Region (R8) covers Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Members from Rutland and Lincolnshire are very welcome if our meetings are more convenient. We are a friendly, active region holding several events every year.
Our three main events cater for a wide range of interests. The first features the Historic Festival at Donington Park, the iconic motor racing venue in our region. This meeting has grown in popularity every year and we regularly have around 150 Porsche arrive to enjoy 3 days of racing. You can park your Porsche in-field in the dedicated Club area for an excellent view of the track and join fellow members for a cup of tea or coffee.
Next, there’s the Porsche Pageant and Regional Concours which includes a class for visitors from outside our region. We welcome a huge display of members’ cars arriving from all parts of the country. This is a wonderful family day out held at the famous picturesque Chatsworth House and Gardens in Derbyshire. We are grateful to Porsche Centre Nottingham, our generous sponsors for this event.
Then we have our Tour Of The East Midlands (TOTEM) which is scenic drive of around 120 miles, incorporating the picturesque roads and lanes in our surrounding area finishing with a splendid group meal. This event is made possible by Porsche Centre Leicester who set us on our way with early morning refreshment.
We are indebted to the support our region enjoys from our two local Official Porsche Centres and Chartwells, the Porsche Recommended Body Repairer in Derby.
We also organise weekends away, meals out and fun days on Curborough sprint track, winter talks, a quiz night and visits to local places of interest. The Region has an active group of local members racing in the Porsche Club Speed Championship.
Our informal monthly meetings are held at the spectacular Coopers Arms, Weston on Trent situated south of the A50 near Shardlow. Meetings are on the first Monday of every month (including bank holidays) at 8 pm. Some members arrive at 7 pm for a drink and a chat and/or a meal from the excellent carvery. Our gatherings are always busy with 20 or 30 cars attending.
We aim to keep members in the Region updated through our regular email newsletter as well as updates on our forum pages.
