Porsche Pageant

Our annual R8 get together with trade stands, food and drink, concours (entries being received already) and of course, lots of lovely members and their cars! Please note - due to general cost hikes we have had to increase the entry price by £1.00 – so entry will be £6.00 per car. Please bring the right amount in cash with you if you can, we do not have card reading facilities so it will help the folks on the gates tremendously if you have the correct amount with you. On arrival you will receive a programme containing a raffle ticket and a tea/coffee voucher and information about the day. If anyone would be able to help us on the day we’d be really grateful and also if anyone could volunteer to be a first aider that would be extremely helpful. If anyone or company might like to have a stall during the day (please drop us a line at r8@porscheclubgb.com) you would be most welcome.  A donation of £20 per stall for the air ambulance would be really appreciated.

Region 8 returns their annual Pageant to the beautiful site at Cromford Meadows. Sponsored by Porsche Centre Nottingham there will be a good assortment of relevant stalls, car displays, raffle and a concours competition.

Why not bring a picnic, we will have burgers etc. for sale on site. There are busy cafes within easy walking distance. We hope Porsche Centre Nottingham will have new cars on display plus a stall full of Porsche goodies, clothes, etc.

Concours in three classes.

  • Class 1: Region 8 air cooled cars.
  • Class 2: Region 8 water cooled cars.
  • Class 3: All visitors cars.

Class 1 and 2 will compete for Regional Champion. Prizes and rosettes to third place in each class. Entry for concours from 9.30am. Preparation will cease at 11.15am for judging to commence. All entries must be pre-booked via completed entry form available at R8@porscheclubgb.com or phone 07768 317346.

Apart from our huge display of 200 to 300 cars we are situated in a stunning valley adjacent to many attractions, principally Arkwrights Cromford Mill a magnificent 18th Century National Heritage complex of architecture and working mechanicals with artisan shops and public tours. Also adjacent is ‘Cromford Wharf’ with picturesque canal boat rides. These should be pre-booked to avoid disapointment. For tickets & times click HERE

A short walk up the road takes you to the historical town of Cromford which was originally built by Arkwright for his workers. It has lots of attractions, second hand book shops, cafes, pubs, etc.

Entry charge is a modest £6 per car on the gate which includes free raffle (please have cash ready) from 10am. Concours entrants from 9-30 am.
