Members may know that in previous years, various car clubs have been invited to participate in the Amersham Carnival, which for various reasons will not be taking place this year. However, the organisers (Amersham Action Group) have come up with the idea of a summer festival to fill the gap left by the previous carnival and we have been approached to see if PCGB members would be prepared to display their cars as part of this new event. It is likely that there will be at least one other car club present on the day and possibly a display of vintage motorcycles. In addition there will be a stage hosting various acts including the Amersham Community Choir, a local Jazz band, a fancy dress show etc. and there will be various trade stands and marquees together with a hog roast.
Our Club will benefit from the publicity generated and the event is expected to feature in The Bucks Free Press, an all-day broadcast on local radio (Wycombe Sound) and from a centrefold pull out in 'Your Amersham' magazine.
The event will be held on the King George V Field in Amersham on the Hill. If all those interested would email email@example.com to register their interest, further details will be provided nearer the time.
