Helmingham car Show

38 cars were on parade at Helmingham

As usual, many of us met up in the lay-by by Mendlesham Mast to go in convoy but even leaving earlier than last year we still found ourselves in a queue to enter the grounds of the Hall. However, once parked up and the gazebo erected by Tony and willing hands, we relaxed ready to enjoy the day.

The Organisers had closed our booking early this year as many more car clubs wanted to join in the event so sadly we had to turn some people away - so book early for 2019!!. The temperatures were very high, and many of us just enjoyed sitting in the Gazebo keeping out of the sun and fighting off the wasps, while others braved the heat and went walkabout.

The usual trade stands were on site plus foodie stalls offering refreshments although many of us took a picnic. The grand ring had the “Lindy hoppers” strutting their stuff dancing, plus birds of prey displays. Once again we had new members joining us although unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to speak to everyone but hope you all enjoyed the day.
